Happy Birthday Cricut!!!

Cricut turns 5 this year. Provo Craft celebrated his birthday at CHA Winter this past weekend in Los Angeles.

I promise to get to a full CHA roundup over the next few days. I know, some of the bloggers out there were providing DAILY updates. I apologize, but CHA is ALAWAYS a bit overwhelming to me...so much information in such little time!

I will warn you now...PROVO CRAFT played a huge part in my enjoyment during the show...I LOVE LOVE LOVE CRICUT!!!!

Did you know that there is a new Cricut magazine???? I know, me neither!!!

Thanks to the publishers, I was able to get my hands on some extra copies and there will be BLOG PRIZES after my LAST CHA update.

Please stay tuned so you don't miss out.

Comments will be required - the rest of the rules will be announced BEFORE my next CHA update but here is a sneak peak...

Do you know other Cricut lovers? Tell them about my blog. Ask them to follow. Let them know that if they comment on the CHA update entries AND mention WHO sent them to my blog...you might just BOTH win a prize...

Until then...

Happy Crafting,

Trisha

CHA Trade Show Day !

Saturday was the first day of the CHA Trade Show in Los Angeles. (This is the show that has been held in Anaheim for the last upteen years...you know right DOWN the street...but NOOOO, this year it is at the Los Angeles Convention Center...)

Day 1 was super exciting. I first stopped at the Pinecone Press booth to see if the good folks there were in need of any last minute assistance. They are very good to me and I like to help them whenever I can.

Right across from the Pinecone booth was the good people from GlueDots...I LoveLoveLOVE GLUE DOTS!!!!

They have the cutest little Cupcake Make N Take and I was lucky enough to be able to do it.

So So So CUTE and SO SO SO EASY!!!! (Sorry for the fingers - trouble getting a good picture :-)

I was able to complete a couple of more Make N Takes but I'm having photo quality problems - GGGRRRRR!!!! Hopefully I will be able to post those tomorrow night...

Until then...HAPPY CRAFTING!!!

Loolah Hello Card

Hello Friends!

I have a project for you today.

The good folks at Pinecone Press Design (http://www.pineconepressdesign.com/) have been kind enough to publish some cards that I designed for their January kits.

The Options Kits are a wonderful thing indeed. They release two need kits EVERY MONTH!!! They retail for just $20 each!!! Each kit contains decorative papers and ribbons as well as other items that very from month to month (additional embellishments, chipboard, stickers, etc). My FAVORITE part of the kit, you ask??? I LOVE LOVE LOVE the 12-page IDEA BOOK!!! The idea books include scrapbook layouts, cards and papercrafts...most with FULL instructions!!!

Have a great weekend!!!

Sweetness

Happy New Year! (YES...I know...I am a few days late...)
WOW! I actually scrapbooked for the first time in YEARS!!!
The idea for this layout was provided by a great company - Pink Paislee.
I love that they provide their retailers with not just pictures of project ideas, but complete instructions as well!!! (This makes me a VERY happy camper...after all, I love to CASE!)
This is a 2-page 12x12 layout.
I did make a couple of adjustments to their instructions so that I can create AFFORDABLE kits for you.
Those will be available on my Etsy store very soon.
I'll be sure to update the blog when those become available.
In the meantime, here is a list of the supplies for this project:

Pink Paislee Products:
Love Letters Paper (2 sheets)
Pretty Lace Paper (1 sheet)
Love Blooms (1 sheet)
Sweetness Elements Stickers
Sweetness Alphabet Stickers (Brown half)

Adhesive

P.S...I can't wait to see what awesome new things Pink Paislee has at CHA!

"Oh My!!!" - Bug made mommy a Mother's Day Card

Yes, this card is being posted a few months late...and this is definitely an "Oh My!!!" It's just now being posted because I wasn't ready to start posting yet. Posting this card will "force" me to start posting my own creations and force me to take myself out of my comfort zone. :-)

My Guest Crafter today is Bug#2. Bug comes from Sister #2. Bug and I spend a good deal of time crafting together. It is one of our favorite things to do together.

Yes, you are correct...I am too SCARED to post my own stuff...so I am posting this Mother's Day Card that the Bug created back on 5/8/2010. Bug was quite proud of this when it was complete and couldn't even wait until the next morning to give it to mommy, so mommy received it when she came for dinner.

I stamped the image for the bug, handed over the colored pencils and turned bug loose...

Supplies:
Stamp - Hero Arts - Girl with Gift form http://www.eclecticpaperie.com/
Basic Black ink and Certainly Celery cardstock from Stampin Up!
The white cardstock and the colored pencils are just something I have on hand.
Card base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
Certainly Celery is 4x5-1/4
Image panel is 3-3/4x5

We had a lot of fun that day!
Thanks for looking...
I'm doing it...I'm really doing it...I'm actually posting on my blog...it's not just a name anymore...but a place to post about my actual crafts...

I don't know how you feel about the very first sentence you ever wrote for your blog, but that was the single most terrifying run-on "sentence" I have EVER written in my ENTIRE life!!!

Please take note of my blog name "Kardz and Stuff...Oh My!!!" I think it leaves me a lot of area that I can cover here. Yes, there will be a lot of cards going on (see, I do know how to spell CARDS) but I also enjoy other types of crafts in addition to card making. And I have a lot of other interests that are going on and are an important part of my life. These things will likely find their way here to my blog via my posts.

I do hope that you will find something of interest here for you to want to take a lot every now and the...

Now without further ado...onto my first "real" post...and because I am so so SO nervous showing you all my own creations, I am going to feature my first Guest Crafter today...
